Def Jam / Lyor Cohen / Dame Dash / and the misuse of the brand we call Hip Hop….

Dame Dash gives the real !!! This was important era during the growth of hip hop.  I witnessed it first hand at 825 8th Avenue  in New York when many of the Def Jam subsidiary labels (i.e, Roc, Murder Inc, Bloodline, and many) were all located in the same building.  Please click the link and hear some executive level chatter about the way things really were.  Feel free to send feedback or comments to

Who Is Iggy Really? . . .

Lord Jamar & Sadat X: Iggy Is the White Replacement for Nicki   – Its worse than that!  She’s the 2014 Missy Elliott, who also sounds like the Brat back in her prime, and sometimes even teeters on a splash of Roxanne Shante.  Let’s not get into how she clearly loves and is influenced by the current Queen of Hip Hop – Nicki Minaj.  Yes, I said it!!!… Fancy is only missing Jermaine Dupree (lol) to show you true influence.  I’m not sure she’s original the least bit.  She’s a combination of several styles, none of which are her own, real talk!  @MatchboxEntCEO
